CookThink is here to satisfy your craving
Posted on April 25, 2008
We often find ourselves hungry, but confused as to what we actually want. You have a fridge full of food, but no dish in particular is jumping out at you. So you decide to go to Cookthink.com. This helpful website lets you enter ingredients that you are craving and ties them together to provide you a list of possible recipe options.
Cookthink uses a “recipe mapping project” to let you tag your mood, dish, ingredients, or cuisine cravings. It then uses these tags to form the recipe suggestion list. The site also offers a newsletter sent weekly focusing on one ingredient. They give details on ways to buy, store, and prepare this ingredient. Another feature cookthink.com has on their site is a blog. This blog features posts on different recipe ideas and other food-related news.
They also offer a cool “reference” tab on the site to clear up any cooking terms you may not be familiar with. Perfect for the first time living-on-your-own college student, or even the mom who has always wanted to learn how to cook. They even explain all those different types of dishes, pots, and pans that you’ve always wondered “what’s the difference?”
Brys Stephens, Chip Brantley, and Clair Blaustein are the ones responsible for this innovative cooking site. They all started their lives elsewhere, but have always had a passion for cooking. They created this site and the rest is history! If you like to cook and need more ideas, or even just want to get your cooking career started, then this is the site for you. Bon Appetit!
